Since their website was large, ease of use and maintenance was an important factor.
Method
Catalyst Consulting knew exactly how they wanted the site to function. They sent through all the specifications for us to make use of during the build process. They loved the incorporation of iconography and colour in their website for each of their divisions that they offered.
Outcome
The client was very happy with the outcome of the project, the deadline had to be extended slightly to accommodate the size of the site which they were happy with. Catalyst updates their site regularly with the easy front end edit functionality.

The client was looking to start up her business, Kidz Karaoke, as she saw the gap in the market for kids parties. Our expertise was required to create the business and assist with online marketing to create an engaging experience for the client's audience without breaking the bank.
Method
We started by creating a stunning, memorable logo for the client. We consulted with the client on her website and assisted with her Facebook page to create effective engagement with the audience. With this approach, she can manage her own marketing while sticking within a budget.
Outcome
Our client was very happy with our consultation and the delivered website. She then proceeded with the strategy we laid out for her social media presence.

The Domestic Disturbance Crew is a NPO car crew that wants to get people with the same enthusiasm for cars to join together and have fun. They are looking to have an online presence by having a website and advice for more social exposure. Their focuses are to reach out and do charity work for those in need and to get those organisations to reach out for help.
Method
We donated a website to Domestic Disturbance Crew to improve their online presences and help them reach out to car enthusiasts that can join their cause. We also guided them into using Facebook and Instagram to get a wider range of exposure for others to donate in charities they support.
Outcome
The client is thrilled for their website, they get changes done on a monthly basis to add more galleries to the runs they take on for charities or car events and competitions that they enter.

Auto GT was a newly registered automotive sales company in need of a website to display their vehicles for sale and let their customers contact them with ease. They also needed a logo design that would be memorable and professional.
Method
For the logo, we sent through four different designs to choose from. They chose a design and mixed a few elements from the other designs to incorporate in the main design. From there the client was happy with their outcome.
The client had also received a demo link to the initial design of their website on which we only needed to make minor changes before the site went live.
Outcome
The client is happy with the outcome of their online presence. Auto GT was a client that had a good specification of their requirements, resulting in a fast turnaround time for the project.

FortiFood approached us with the need to create a website that allows them to easily manage the products on their online store. The main site elements needed to be kept, whilst providing a more refreshing look and feel.
Method
Due to some customised requirements, we needed to build a bit of custom software for product management on this website. The website redesign was kept clean, simple and kept the main features of the old site such as the search option for products, purchase options, quick links and the English/Afrikaans translation.
Outcome
We contracted General Genius do redevelop our website during 2018. The development included a full online purchasing and payment system. It also required a custom feature to facilitate the uploading and re-uploading all our products and product ingredients. We were impressed with their professional and thorough approach, and we appreciated their support after going live until all teething problems were sorted out. It is also always a pleasure to work with people who revert back to you when they promise to do so, saving you the effort of having to follow up all the time.
We will definitely make use of General Genius’ services again.

For this, General Genius teamed up with The Click Forge for copywriting as well as marketing for the client once the website is complete.

We met up with the client a few times to get all the relevant information for the website to build the content as well as to gather the design ideas that the client was looking for. Giving the look and feel the client was looking for was top priority and ensuring that the functionality of the website worked well around that. We used customised functionality to make sure that the virtual tours worked seamlessly.

Mhlaba Industrial Solutions needed a fresh website that represented the quality of work they offer. The website needed to explain their services as well as include a gallery for customers to see them in action. They also required a contact form for customers to get in touch with them.
Method
We created a first draft of the website design that we felt would represent their line of work perfectly. As the client was happy with the first draft of the website we were able to easily continue the rest of the website build. We then added in the content and focused on the images last to accentuate the website with their own work. We also added a simple contact form for users to find out more information.
Outcome
The client was very happy with the finished product. The client was keen on incorporating their own images as they wanted visitors to see their quality of work.

FOGO ActiveWear approached us after working with another company that could not deliver their requirements. We rebuilt their website and assisted them with setting up their e-commerce system as well as their product categories and social media set up.
Method
We sat with the client to discuss the issues that arose with the previous web company and how we’d get her website up and running smoothly and to meet her deadline. Once the main design of the website was complete to the clients satisfaction, we fixed the e-commerce system that was non-functional at the time. Once the website was complete we then integrated the clients social media onto the website.
Outcome
The client was very happy with the outcome of the project and couldn’t wait to get the website live and running.

The purpose of this project was to connect businesses with services providers. Anyone who registers an account on the website should have access to the information it contains.
Any blogs and videos on the website need to be shareable to social media platforms.
Method
During our initial consultation, we suggested that the website be developed from the ground up as a custom system, giving us better flexibility in reaching the clients requirements in terms of design and functionality.
Due to budget constraints, we went with a standard CMS platform and customised the bits that needed to be changed.
Outcome
Due to limitations with standard CMS systems, there are some restrictions to what we could accomplish. However, we were able to meet all the clients requirements with the dedication of our team and met the deadline that the client requested.

General Genius created a simple to navigate website that promoted the clients services with ease. Using a CMS platform for the client to use was important for regular updates that they required. We then focused on the branding of the business with business cards and email signature for a more professional feel to the customers.

Decor online is an interior decorating business that wanted to offer a more unique perspective on how people can learn how to do interior decoration from the comfort of their own home by offering online training.
The requirements on this project was to have a simple yet colourful website that represented the business. The courses should have multiple sections for a topic and a multiple choice questionnaire for students to answer at the end. Once the course has been completed, the student would get a certification stating that they had completed a course.
Method
We sat with the client to discuss the methods we had in mind to complete to project with the requirements provided. We suggested to rather use custom development as management and future courses would be easier to manage, however the client insisted that we rather use a CMS platform as it’s more cost effective, while understanding the restrictions that come with this.
Outcome
The client was happy with the design of the website overall, and understood the restrictions that came with using a CMS based platform, as we had initially explained. Even with the restrictions the client was still impressed that we were able to meet all their requirements and requested further work to be done.

As a start up business, they required a website that emphasised on the work they specialise in as well as the amazing team that works together.
